Fulton County GA is Hiring a COMPUTER SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (Grade 13) Near Atlanta, GA
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED and at least six months of training in computer operations, data communications, computer programming, or related field and at least one year of experience in network administration and technical support; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific License or Certification Required: None
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Requires knowledge of techniques used to troubleshoot AV equipment, computer hardware, software, and networks. Workstation and peripheral installation and configuration. General office practices, procedures, equipment, and technology.
Familiarity with court terminology. Requires skill in developing and delivering user training. Delivering high quality, customer-focused service. Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
Performing system backups, testing restore processes, and maintaining appropriate records. Determining user needs and developing appropriate formats, templates, and automated routines. Interpreting and following technical manuals.
Understanding, using, and explaining Court-specific computer applications to manage court processes, gather and analyze statistics, and create reports. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting technology infrastructure.
Building sustainable working relationships with other County personnel, officials, and the public. Communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisor, and the public. Generating enthusiasm and support for program objectives.

Purpose of Classification:
Supports personal computer and courtroom technology, troubleshooting problems and assisting users.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Supports all aspects of court technology including installation (hardware, software, peripherals), maintenance, and troubleshooting for personal computers, court systems, and courtroom technology.
Provides on-site and telephone technical support for computer users, diagnosing and resolving problems with hardware, software, and communications systems on various platforms. Develops system configurations.
Serves as an agency liaison to Information Technology and monitors adherence to established information systems and network protocols.
